Manual Registry Hack

Open up regedit.exe through the Start Menu search or run box, and then browse down to the following registry key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\
CurrentVersion\Explorer\HideDesktopIcons\NewStartPanel

Once you’re there, create a new 32-bit DWORD value on the right-hand side, and give it the name {031E4825-7B94-4dc3-B131-E946B44C8DD5} and the value of 0. 

For Windows 7 users:
1. Open ‘Properties’ of My Computer
2. Under the ‘System’ Window, click on ‘Advanced system settings’ from left panel.
3. In the ‘System Properties’, under ‘Performance’ section click on ‘Settings…’
4. Now move to ‘Advance’ tab, under ‘Virtual memory’ section click on ‘Change’
5. Uncheck ‘Automatically manage paging file size for all drives’ option
Rest follow the same steps of Windows XP, above.
That’s it.
Once you save the settings, restart your PC. After restarting the PC you will immediately feel the difference in the speed.

Disabling Windows Firewall through command Prompt:

Open Command Prompt and type : netsh firewall set opmode disable

For Enabling Windows Firewall through command prompt:

Open Command Prompt and type : netsh firewall set opmode enable

If You want to make a batch file for Disabling/Enabling Firewall, Then Write above commands in Notepad and save them as filename.bat where filename is name of batch program you want to set.

There are some more command line options with which you can play :

1.) If you want to see configuration of Windows Firewall, Then:

Open Command Prompt and type : netsh firewall show config

2.) If you want to reset your Firewall to default setting then you can type:

• First check how many drives are there in my computer and then see which drive holds your secret files.Then make the drive to invisible by following the below steps of using cmd commands,
• start->run->cmd->DISKPART
• DISKPART>list volume (it list available partition volumes)
• select the volume by SELECT VOLUME 1or 2 ..
•  Hide the selected volume by REMOVE LETTER C or D or... command.
